Uzumaki: Gelato with a Japanese twist.

So yeah, like I always said, I have quite a bad sense of direction, and this trip shall prove that about me again. This time, going to the food centre was no problem as it was Vincent who led us there. However, Vincent and a bunch of people went off first so there were only me, Ryan and his friend Yulu. I will write about the trip from the food centre to the MRT in another post as it would be really long. But in summary, I actually was able to walk from lavender to Bugis! That really says something I think.

Anyways, as we were at Bugis, I thought that I might as well go to have the ice cream in Basement 1 as I know that they are famous for their Macha (Japanese green tea) ice cream. Also, it was their 3rd anniversary, so 3 scoops of gelato in a cup was only $3! A real bargain if you ask me.

Look at the ice cream, not my wrists...
3 scoops of gelato on cup, $3 (3rd anniversary, special price, limited time only.)

So yup, I had 1 milk tea flavour, 1 macha flavour and 1 sesame flavour. The one I really don't like is the sesame flavoured gelato, it tasted really awkward and you can bite little bits of sesame seeds that tasted as though it was toasted. (3/5) The famous Macha flavour was indeed pretty good, with the strong green tea flavour but I thought that it was too creamy. (3.5/5) My favourite one was surprisingly the milk tea flavour! the tea leaf flavour was really strong in the ice cream and it was not too creamy that you would not want to finish it! (3.75/5) The ice creams were all pretty stretchy and that was pretty nice, in a very weird way I might add.

The store!
